Muscle Fitness: Strength May Be Important, Coordination Is Vital

Muscle fitness is usually associated with strength. But what if you coordination is not quite what it should be? Those stronger muscles you are developing with your training program may start to work against one another. With good coordination the power a muscle can deliver will be increased because there will be no inappropriate resistance.

Biomechanics is the study of muscles, motion and forces. Coordination is vital for efficient movement but if your training program is not balanced in its approach, you will develop muscle imbalances and destroy your timing, your efficiency and posture. Take my instant biomechanics test and check your coordination.

Muscle fitness is a combination of having your strength deliver the force required when you need it and where you need it. My Zone Fitness program is unique in taking a radical new look at how you develop this ability. My methods do not focus and how you should coordinate your strength and movement - this is far too complex a process - I ask you to focus on what you do not need to do and allow natural coordination to just happen. Athletes describe this sensation when in The Zone.

Total muscle fitness is an ideal - can you make it a reality What is total fitness? We all know about strength, stamina and suppleness, but I believe there are two more factors that get little attention.

What is so special about The Zone? Few experiences can compare with performing in The Zone. But what is it? Why does it remain elusive to so many.

Total body integration is when you let go to get out of the way and prevent interference with free, natural movement. I believe too many exercise workouts and training programs encourage the opposite, that is, too much effort and 'unnatural' coordination. Think of all those abdominal exercises you have done over the years. Does it help your coordination to have all that tension in those muscles?

Abdominal muscles can be made to work for you in a totally natural manner, ie, performing the function they are designed to do, whilst doing your everyday activities. You do not need to hold them in or 'zip and hollow' because this will not aid coordination.

What my clients say about my programs
More sports people are starting to find my unique approach to their training makes a big difference. I don't ask you to perform repetitive exercises with movements that have nothing to do with efficient natural activity. My procedures will help open up a whole new perspective to your training and develop total muscle fitness.

Where Does It Hurt?

Of course where you are experiencing the pain or weakness may not be the problem area. As I have said earlier your muscle fitness is determined by coordination. However, check out the links below for information on specific areas that may be causing you concern. I recommend you visit a physician if your problem persists.
