I Have A Secret...
No, not my training techniques, these are yours anytime you like. No, my secret is I don't play golf!
So how on earth can I help you with your game? Well, I also know very little about basketball, tennis, swimming, fencing and ... (let's just say it's a long list)
Yet I have still been able to help hundreds of players of these sports to improve their game significantly because I do know a lot about balance, coordination and movement!

Okay, it's one thing to know this,
but why can it prove so difficult to control?
One reason is habit. How you prepare and carry out the shot is determined by the hundreds and thousands of times you have done it before. But doesn't practice make perfect? We all know this isn't necessarily true because we would all be perfect by now wouldn't we :0)
It's more accurate to say 'practice makes permanant, not necessarily perfect!' So if even the smallest bad habit has sneaked into your game you will by now be very good at doing it badly and not even notice.

Another reason is... because we are human. What you do that works one day may not work the next because there are so many variables to control. For example, the amount of effort you used for the little tap yesterday that sunk a three yard putt suddenly takes you off the green today.
Just as green conditions can change daily so does your body. What felt right for yesterday's shot may not be so right for today, it would be like judging the speed of your car by the volume of the engine whilst wearing a faulty hearing aid. We simply do not have sensory systems reliable enough for us to rely on the feel of a shot - but this is what we do! What other ways are there?
Yes, top players can turn in top performances time after time, but they rely on something else.

They have the ability to observe AND think.....
